Michael “Woody” Wodchis is the Vice President of National Business Development for CBIZ Special Risk. He originally joined CBIZ in 2008 bringing more than 20 years of experience in the financial services industry with particular focus on building distribution in open architecture environments. Woody leads the Business Development and Relationship Account Teams and is focused on enhancing the firm’s relationships with producers and institutional accounts.
In the 10 years prior to CBIZ, Woody held leadership positions with National Financial Partners (NFP) and BISYS, both publicly traded companies. With these independent financial services distribution companies, Woody’s business development and marketing expertise contributed to both entities becoming the preeminent players in the independent market place. Starting his career with Manulife Financial, a leading global life insurance company, Woody embarked on a number of distribution management roles throughout North America.
Woody is a graduate of Syracuse University with a BA in Politics and Economics. He has his Fellow of the Life Management Institute (FLMI) from the Life Office Management Association (LOMA), and is an active member of the Association of Advanced Life Underwriters (AALU).
