President & Chief Underwriting Officer
Timothy Moynihan is the President of CBIZ Special Risk Insurance Services, Inc. (CBIZ Special Risk) based in San Diego and leads the firm’s Underwriting Team. He has more than 25 years of experience in the life insurance industry and possesses a unique skill-set utilized to differentiate mortality risks. He has extensive experience handling difficult risks and working with Attending Physicians, Medical Directors, and Home Office Underwriters on behalf of financial advisors with a credo of always doing the right thing, preparing meticulously, and executing to deliver brilliant results.
Prior to joining CBIZ, Tim was a Home Office Underwriter with Connecticut General and Manager of CIGNA Associates Impaired Risk Division. He is a contributor to several industry publications on various Insurance Solutions topics. He has also been the keynote speaker for AHOU, CLU, IAFP and IRUA meetings on the subject of insurance underwriting. He is a graduate of Amherst College and is a native of Boston, Massachusetts.
