We do business exclusively with properly licensed insurance producers. Below is a step-by-step process to outline how to get started doing business with us. This process applies to an existing producer that already does business with us or a producer who wants to start taking advantage of our unique service.

The Process

Step 1: Qualification – Does Your Case Meet the Submission Criteria?

Term
Term Life Case where insured is 49 or younger and face amount is 1 million+ or Term Life Case where insured is 50 or older and face amount is $500,000+

Permanent
Informal inquiries for permanent insurance and target premium is $25,000+ or Permanent Life Case and face amount is $250,000+

Step 2: Start the Process

  • When a case qualifies to be sent to us, please fill out the Informal Inquiries Form and send the completed form back to us. For standard “Formal” cases, producers must obtain the application forms, complete them, and send the completed application form to us.
  • (Optional) If this is your first time submitting business to a particular carrier through CBIZ Special Risk, you need to complete the appropriate carrier contracting paperwork and send it to us with the application.

  • We will perform an assessment and begin processing the business. If the case is an informal, we will contact you with potential solutions, if any.
  • If you would like to order a paramed, please click here.

Step 3: Process the Business

  • We will manage the case and as the case progresses, we will communicate updates and request information from the necessary parties.
  • We will work with you to satisfy licensing and contracting requirements for business submission.
  • If approved, you can submit delivery requirements to us to place the case in-force.
