The group kicked off the morning in historic New York Stock Exchange boardroom. James Byrne, Managing Director of the NYSE presented Dave Sibits with a crystal globe, representing the NYSE’s global presence. Chris Spurio, and the rest of the group, was presented with pewter medallions celebrating the 5th Anniversary of CBIZ’s listing on the New York Stock Exchange. Steve Gerard was also presented with an engraved certificate to celebrate the occasion.
After the ceremony, the group was led through a back hallway, up a narrow staircase and onto the New York Stock Exchange bell podium. At 9:29 and 50 seconds, Dave Sibits, President of CBIZ Financial Services, rang the bell to open trading for the day. It was an exhilarating two minutes on the bell podium, which will not soon be forgotten.
